activity9_Metaphor(and Symbol)

Can you have a look at this piece of work and comment on your blog on what you consider to be some of the metaphors being used?

The Big Snit

This is a great example of the use of metaphor in animation. Some types of metaphor’s being used are:

Butterfly >Represent of Short happiness of life before the nuclear war, holocaust and poverty has begun.
Eye> the husband complains about his wife's habit of shaking her eyes. This is a Metaphor of her frustration at her husband taking his time with his turn at scrabble and his “sawing” distraction.
Sawing>Husband has the bad habit of sawing from watching the TV show "Sawing for Teens" They barely notice that there is panic in the streets. Sawing the table and furniture may Metaphor of Life is depressing and stressing enough.
Wings> There is life after death – Everyone maybe dead but finally they are at peace and happy.
Cage> cat swinging off the bird cage. Maybe represent of their marriage life from his side.
Heart in the eye> Metaphor Love. After all this frustration and distressing about their marriage there are still love each other. Till death do us part?
The skeleton news presenter> represent of nuclear war which they don't notice that a nuclear war has begun.

activity8_Condensation

This video helped me a lot to understand more about condensation, and I've loved this animation since the first time I saw it years ago. It’s says so mush without words of dialogue. The song in this is sung by Lucy Wainwright Roche.

activity03_analysing the brief

List some of the key words and phrases that help to identify some of the problems and challenges of the brief who, if anyone, is this project aimed at?

Requirements and deliverables
Quantity
Treat yourself to quality Scissors, make your creative experience more enjoyable with the right tools.

Do you have a target audience?

My target audience are Barbers, Hairdressers and Craft people.

What should be your inspiration and/or the starting point for the project?

Scissors are one of the useful and essential tools for daily life. You can make paper snowflakes, paper stars and paper hearts to decorate or to use in art projects! Scissors are also used to cut the thread and fabrics that make clothes. They are used in everyday life from surgeon to sheet metal workers. A great example of someone using scissors is a barber or hairdresser, they are the number one tool for this profession and without them we wouldn’t have as many fantastic hairstyles as we have today.

What are the limitation of the brief?

Scissors do have limitations in that, they can’t cut through every material, although they can cut a wide range of products from paper right up to sheet metal.

What resources do you think you will need?

Sketchbook, Camera, Photoshop, illustrator and flash.

Can you identify any potential areas of required research?

Hairdresser /Barber saloon and Tailor /Dressmaker’s workshop and Craft studios.
